2008 OC Family Smugglers Notch Trip

January 25^th – 30^th

Back at ya!

It was January 25^th with temperatures hovering around the mid teens, when Thirty-Three OC friends & families found there way to Smugglers Notch in Jeffersonville, VT. Many took advantage of the full Friday lift ticket and arrived early. We were all blessed, as Smugglers had no one in our condos on Thursday night, so that allowed all of us to get into our units upon arrival!

The Smugglers Notch staff was super accommodating and everyone got settled in after a few adjustments. Saturday morning we awoke to fresh tracks as Mother Nature dropped 5” of snow over the night. Some had the chance to take advantage of the swimming pools & skating rink as well as hitting the kids fun Zone & Teen areas.

After a full day of fun and skiing we had an Apres Ski party in the Wakefield’s/Shear unit, then we moved next door to the Briggs unit for a Fine Italian Smorgasbord. All went as planned with everyone providing their special dish or offering, and clean up was easier than last year because of PAPER Products!

We had a prize giveaway after dinner with Smugglers Notch souvenirs purchased from the 3 Mountain Outfitters. Sunday morning brought us another beautiful day, and full day of skiing for all as Smugglers was very gracious in allowing us to have one unit set aside for a late 3:00 PM check out.

A few even decided to end the day down at the fun zone & Village swimming pool. All had a great time and asked that we do it again next year! So until next year when we do it again, this Smugglers trip is in the books!
