Okemo Lessons and Luxury Trip Review 2007

What a fabulous weekend of lessons and luxury at Okemo!  Forty-six individuals met at the Jackson Gore Inn where we began three days of fun.  Some of us headed up Friday morning and got an early taste of the fabulous snow conditions, the best Okemo has had in the last ten years.  Tina was sure happy.  Those early folks were already in the hot tubs by the time the rest of the club got up Friday night.  As typical OCer’s, we had a party the first night.  Several door prizes were won and the women found the men who won the chocolate very attractive.  The next day saw us out on the slopes.  There were several never-evers who picked up rentals and got two ski lessons from Okemo’s instructors.  The rest of us divided up by pace and ability and took off for some great skiing.  Tina and Richard were delighted to be in a group that literally raced from top to bottom all morning long.  Tina was sure smiling.

More hot tubing Saturday night (with a very happy, tired group) and then we all headed to Christopher’s  for, guess  what, another party.  Everyone enjoyed the nacho bar, submarine sandwiches, pizza, and wings.  Two drinks were included in the deal and we soon figured out that that included exotic, mixed drinks.  There were more door prizes handed out and there were happy faces on everyone, including Tina.  Later folks moved to the pool table where Steve was proceeded to show Lauri how to hold the cue and stroke it.  Aren’t our instructors so helpful?  The partying continued at the bar at Jackson Gore for those with the stamina.

Sunday found us a little less enthusiastic about getting an early start on the slopes, but true to the club spirit, we rallied and headed out for more lessons and phenomenal early season skiing.  What a fantastic start to the season!
